About the community
Swiss Antenna Map has been mapping the country's antennas, coverage and mobile speeds for years. The community is the project's second half: where the maps give figures, it gives answers from other users, on the ground, in your area and on your operator. And it does not stop at the network: technology at large gets discussed here.
What the site provides
On carteantennesuisse.ch you will find the interactive map of Swisscom, Sunrise and Salt antennas with their frequencies and radiation patterns, the coverage map, the rollout map of new antennas, the speed rankings by operator and the analyses. That is data: measured, verifiable, kept up to date.
What the community adds
A map will not tell you why your 5G drops at home while your neighbour has signal, whether the antenna announced nearby actually went live, or which operator really holds up in your valley. That is what gets discussed here: asking about a specific antenna, sharing a speed test, comparing real measurements, reporting an outage, following a rollout. The answers come from people living with the same coverage as you.
Not just antennas
The network is the starting point, not the boundary. The community is also a place to talk about computing and technology in general: artificial intelligence, phones and hardware, software and operating systems, security and privacy, fixed lines and fibre, connected devices. A technical question belongs here even when it has nothing to do with an antenna.
How it works
Any member can start their own community: a topic, a region, an operator, a technical field. Alongside the original spaces (coverage, antennas, the map, technology, general discussion) sit the ones members have opened. You post, comment, vote and follow the topics that matter. Reading needs no account; posting does, with a username. Every post and every comment is translated automatically into English, French, German and Italian: a question asked in German is readable in English, and the answer comes back translated.
On the web and in the app
It is the same community here and in the iOS and Android app: same account, same discussions, same notifications. The app adds the speed test and native coverage and antenna maps.
Your data stays in Switzerland
The community's posts, comments, messages and photos are hosted on servers located in Switzerland, at Infomaniak, and subject to Swiss data protection law.
